Since I'm done with the HSC I thought there'd be no point keeping these notes I worked on for myself, so feel free to download and share! Included in the Section I revision notes is: - A breakdown of the key historians - The primary debates and areas of historiography I chose to focus on that should be able to cover a broad range of exam questions. (Please keep in mind it is important to go in with your own understanding and opinions of a range of historical debates and areas). Included in the Case Study (Cleopatra) notes is: - A critical evaluation of several sources from Greco-Roman, through to Bocaccio, and into modern times. Includes quotes, historians, and impact of context. - Debates such as Cleopatra's role as a pharaoh, Afrocentrism, Classicists vs. Egyptologists, her relationships with Marc Antony and Caesar, and constructions of her identity and gender. I hope these notes are able to help at least one person! I would recommend downloading them and looking at every source I have included and making your own annotations and critiques...that is what the course is about! Good luck to all future HSC History Extension students!
