some questions from tsfx are a tad beyond vce whereas tssm tend to give easier questions. just an observation i came across when doing a physics trial paper from the respective companies.

I actually liked the TSSM 09 Unit 3 physics exam. I thought it was the hardest one that we did that actually stayed on the course.

I went to a revision lecture at tssm for PE and I thought it was an absolute waste of time and money. They just read out powerpoints to you.  It's nothing that they claim. I asked for a refund, and they send me a $10 voucher. I'm still really pissed off about them.
So I'd say go tsfx, imo anything would be better than tssm.

Wow TSSM must be really bad then because TSFX wasn't any help at all to me. It was such a waste of money- they hand you out a booklet of notes and all they do is go through it. In my further maths lecture last year, the lecturer made SO MANY mistakes it was not funny, hence confusing everyone. Not worth the price, get a tutorer :P

How did you complain? Don't they offer 100% money back?

For maths, don't go, especially to summer/winter school, unless you are in desperate need of help. And even in that case, a good tutor will be better. The end of year revision was also quite 'useless' I re-learnt maybe three important points, it was just a session where a teacher(I got Irena) does a load of questions, and goes through their huge notes. Wasn't worthwhile in my opinion, you could learn more about your own weak points completing papers/questions.

For Business winter school seemed good at the time, but when I covered the material myself later I realised that I really did not need help...

I went to TSSM winter school, and TSFX end of year lecture. In my experience TSFX notes are better, and the actual lesson is entirely dependent on the presenter, 'luck of the draw'. It's up to you really.

i have neva been to tssm but in my experience, tsfx are actually reli good. The winter and summer schools are good as they give you a good head start and you actually do get a beta understanding of the concepts when you do them again in school. For the revision lectures, tsfx have awesome notes, but the lecturers can vary from awesome to duds.

However, i reackon that the english lectures are a waste of time cos they are not nearly specific enough to cope with the different texts each school does

NEAP.

Not for physics though.  I thought the difficulty of their questions were a little simplistic.

arent neap questions supposed to be the most challenging or does that just apply to chem?

Their exams are pretty decent but with their lectures, I went last year and it was very simplistic -  a definite morale booster if you really want one.
