Congrats to everyone who received an offer today! And to anyone who didn’t, I wish you the best of luck for January round 1! <3


So I begun a thread a few months ago seeing where you would like to go, but for many of us now it’s finalised where we actually are going.

So where are you going!?

I’m heading to Macquarie University to do a Bachelor of Media and a Bachelor of Laws

I'm going to USyd to do a Bachelor of Science, with a major in Nutrition Science :)

I've accepted my Bachelor of Commerce at UNSW. It was originally my first preference, but now I have a slight feeling that maybe USYD would take me for Commerce / Law. For that reason, I'm going to wait a bit to enrol into UNSW until the January rounds, just to see whether or not USYD wants me. Regardless, I am absolutely stoked that I actually made it into UNSW in the first place! A few months ago, I never would have dared to consider it as an option.

If I accept and defer a course at UNSW can i still be offered courses through vtac?

Also congrats to everyone who got an offer! I got offered Bachelor of Engineering/Master of Bioengineering and its amazing to feel as if the year's hard work and effort is starting to pay actual dividends :)

Not an expert on this but I think you can, as UAC and VTAC are separate :)

got an offer for bachelor of communications (public communication)/bachelor of arts in international studies at uts! i'm waiting for january round 1 to see if i get an offer for a similar course in unsw, but if not, i'll be just as happy at uts :-)

congrats to everyone who got an offer!!!!

yes. VTAC and UAC are separate. When I was receiving offers, I received my UAC one first cos their date was earlier, deferred it, and also received VTAC offers which I eventually didn't accept.

Enrol in UNSW and secure your place dude! Then just withdraw and enrol in USYD if they want you - You should have had USYD on your preference list to begin with!! ;D

waaaait. i'm in a similar situation - should i enrol in uts and wait until january to see if i get unsw? then just withdraw? very confused because i called uac last week and they said to accept the offer then leave it

Hey guys, just a quick question! So I've received an offer for UTS Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. However, while this course is great, I am also looking at maybe doing normal
Journalism at UTS given it is two years less of study. Also, given that these courses are hovering around ATARs of 82-85, I was hoping I may gain a scholarship and hence was also waiting for responses from UNSW and possibly Sydney Uni. My other preference is for uni of Canberra where I have a $5000 scholarship but the sports media course, while great, is too specific and also I would want lots of money if I moved to Canberra given the cost involved. So hopefully you understand my situation now! Should I keep waiting for more offers? Thanks :)
