Serious Debates on Stupid Topics - Sauce in the Fridge?

Something I've noticed at family gatherings or catch ups with friends lately - It isn't the serious, pressing issues of our time that cause the loudest debates. Debates on the presidency of Donald Trump are quiet and respectful, discussion of the rate cuts for Retail workers are civilised and honest.

But mention that you keep BBQ sauce in the pantry after it is opened, and Jesus Christ, watch your back because a plate probably just got thrown at your head.

The stupidest topics seem to have the best debates. This is probably because there is no concern of genuinely offending anyone, because the topic is so stupid. So you can let rip, safe in the knowledge that even after you've hurled your best insults at your pineapple pizza eating friend, you'll shake hands and make up. Because really, who gives a damn?

But hey, serious debates on stupid topics seems like a fun idea to me ;)

Topic for Debate: Do you keep sauce in the fridge after it is opened?

Y'all fridge keepers are inhumane - How can you put cold sauce on a hot sausage sizzle?

Edit: Feel free to suggest more topics, I'll try and make this a weekly/bi-weekly thing ;D

As an Asian that uses a wide variety of sauces, which I'm not gonna list them out, sauces is everything to me :P Food is boring without them.

Hence the sauces deserve their own spot in the fridge, so I'm going to go with yes

As an Aussie that uses pretty much only BBQ sauce, which I have just listed out right then, sauce (BBQ) is everything to me :P Food is boring without it.

Hence, the sauces deserve their own spot in the PANTRY ;)

BBQ sauce is kinda gross, but tomato sauce or soy sauce go with nearly every savoury dish :P

Hundreds of thousands of years of evolution and innovation and somehow there are these foul creatures among us that actively rebel against progression and leave their sauce out to spoil? Disgusting, absolutely appalling. Sauces belong in the fridge, you animals. >:(

Who even has ROOM for sauce in the fridge? I mean really, it's a waste of space! I don't want my fridge getting cluttered up by sauce that's perfectly good in the pantry. And who wants a cold burger because of their refrigerated sauce!
Next thing you'll tell me nutella and chocolate belong in the fridge too  :o

So you're saying sauces aren't food and they don't deserve a spot in the fridge?

That's saucial discrimination, and saying they waste fridge space makes me sad :'(

"Y'all freezer keepers are inhumane - How can you put cold ice cream on a hot apple pie"

Essentially the same argument #teamfridge #teamreality

I'd give you some ice for this burn jamon, but you probably put that in the pantry as well...

As someone who keeps tomato sauce in the pantry, I'd have to say the idea of cold sauce does not sound very pleasant. But the mayonnaise though...
