Hmm... some of you mentioned a faculty-specific scholarship offer, mine doesn't mention a faculty restriction. Is that bad? XD

If it's a scholarship for disadvantaged, it may just be a general scholarship, so no faculty restrictions is good. It means you have freedom of choice :)

Could be possible it's still faculty general. Monash gives out scholarships pretty easily, I'm not sure why.

So what are my chances of getting a Melbourne offer for commerce faculty, considering Monash have offered me a scholarship? Is there a chance I'll still receive an offer from Melbourne? $6k pa from Monash simply does not offset the extra travel time and expenses, and certainly wouldn't come close to offsetting the cost of moving to the other side of the city.

They know the order of your preferences?!?

Dammit!! If I'd known that, I would've put Melbourne after a few Monash courses to get them riled up. *pouts*

I don't know about that. Melbourne was my first VTAC preference.

I called the Monash scholarship office today as well and they told me I didn't get one. I'm fine with that though anyway. If I stay in Victoria for uni, I'm going to Melbourne.

I got a scholarship to Monash, 2.2k per annum for any faculty ^_^

Still hoping for an Access scholarship. Monash is kinda far for me.

What are the telephone numbers for Melbourne and Monash Universities' Scholarship offices?

I have a bunch of missed calls on my mobile and I missed some calls on my home phone as well. You never know...
ENTER: Incomprehensibly high

I got a mysterious call yesterday that I wasn't home for and my mum was unable to jot down. I'm left fearing it could have been from a monash selection or scholarship officer, and I potentially missed it  :o. Any ideas?
and fyrefly, ninwa, what did you two get as ENTERS?

Heh, I got an education faculty scholarship - I didn't have the heart to tell the lady that arts/education is my 12th preference so unless my parents go bankrupt / I don't get any of the other 11 courses, I wouldn't accept.

I'd rather not say my ENTER - it's not something I'm proud of :( sorry lol

I applied for the Melbourne one through VTAC. In order to get a Melbourne scholarship you have to have "suffered" a disadvantage of some sort. Unless your ENTER was above 99.90 and you're eligible for a National scholarship. But yeah, you apply directly for the Monash ones.

Also, I think Melbourne is giving $2500 to anyone who enrolls in a new generation degree with an ENTER of above 98 and hasn't already received a scholaraship (not including the Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholarship).
