Hello AN,
I was wondering which would be the best way to create an index for my methods and further reference books, as stickynotes/removable pages are against VCE mathematics guidelines.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Here's a few tried and true methods:
1. Cut tabs into your book.
2. Cut the corners at varying lengths according to sections e.g. each topic or each chapter.
3. Cut some rectangular labels or get those tab labels and fold them in half along the edge of the page. (Instead of letting it stick out, make sure the entire label is stuck and wraps around the page, so that nothing sticks out.)
4. Use different coloured highlighters/ markers to colour code each topic, chapter or section you want, colouring the edge of the page.
5. Make a contents page and number each page.

I’ve made a contents page at the start of my book and at the start of every topic. I also cut tabs into my book ;)
