Is it worth doing kilbaha? Will they help in any way?

If you have the papers and you have done all your other exams then sure. They are one of the hardest out there though. Much above vcaa. But I've heard that some questions are good for practicing extended response style questions.

What would roughly be a good score for kilbaha papers?

good or great score?
good score i'd say 30/40+ for short answer and 65/40+ for extended resrponse (depends what year as well. some years have absolutely ridiculous questions)

How is everyone going on practice papers now as we're nearing the exams?

Hey everyone...

I've been doing heaps of exams lately, and I've noticed that I really struggle with VCAA papers (convenient...right?). I've been getting around 80%+ in NEAPs, MAVs and INSIGHTs, and like 90%+ in HEFFERNAN papers. But, I'm stuck on 70% for VCAA (I always get 56/80). I need to work out how to add around 14 marks to my score...

I know its hard to diagnose a problem without being there...but I'm not sure what I should do...

Hey Orson,
just so we can help you out a bit more, where are you losing most of your marks on each paper? Multi choice? Higher order extended response? Simple mistakes? Purely calculator questions?

Oh thanks buddy. I always lose marks on the separator questions (like the last 2 parts on an extended response). I guess those are designed to separate you guys from me haha. I'm fine with multiple choice (I usually get 18+). My problem is that I don't understand what they are asking me to do. I understand it once I look at the solutions though, but that doesn't help me with the next paper.

I've got two VCAA papers left (2013 - 2014). I really need to make those count.

Thanks heaps!

best advice i would give you is to really make the most of the reading time, make sure you highlight/underline the important parts of the extended response questions and try to understand exactly what those questions are asking
