Moving into Accounting Unit 2?

I'm thinking of switching out of PE and moving into Accounting straight into Unit 2. The Accounting teacher said I would be behind and it would be difficulty to catch up as the information learnt in Unit 1 will be used in unit 2.

Thoughts on making this change?

Thanks :)

shouldnt be too hard.. it may take some time to memorise theory and learn about the different financial statements and double entry rule  :P usually the basics of accounting are covered in unit 1, eg. principles + characteristics, balance sheet, income statement, etc., but they are mentioned again in unit 3

if the subject interests you then i'd say go for it! i did 1/2 in year 10 and i'd say its relatively easy, but it all depends on you

Won't be a huge jump but you will need to put in a few hours ( Max probs 5 hours if super slow over the two week break )
Just to catch up on some fundamentals

Yeah that should be fine then, considering our school gets a 3 week break it shouldn't be a problem!

Yeah,  I think it is fine as Unit 2 Accounting is necessary to know but Unit 1 Accounting is just the basics. Skipping Unit 1 won't do much harm.
