Hi!
I am currently doing some course planning for my Bcom degree...I will be taking 4 subjects in semester 2, one of them being a level 3 subject-taxation law I. Btw, I am majoring in accounting and finance. So along with three other level 2 subjects, this surely will be a fully packed semester for me.
My other level 2 subjects will be cost management and accounting information: risks and control... I have only one spot left for either QM2 or Econometrics 1 in order to satisfy the level 2 quantitative requirement. I would like to do honours/masters in finance so I know that econometrics 2 is compulsory in this regard, but I also heard that QM2 is a more "bludged" subject where it is easier to score well in QM2 than in econometrics 1.
Since I will be taking econometrics 2 in my 3rd year, which of these two would prepare me best for ECOM2?? I have always found achieving a high WAM while taking 4 subjects a semester to be quite difficult, so QM2 would be a better option in this regard... But I have also heard that QM2 does not prepare one for ECOM2 as well compared to ECOM1 because QM2 is more about breadth than depth...?
Would achieving a 75+ in QM2 prepare me for ECOM2 just as well if I undertook ECOM1?
Thank you!!
