This is useful for looking to see what other people are doing in common, or future subjects you might be interested in doing so that you can ask questions. We can also use it for seeking advice on which subjects to do for certain pathways etc

you know the drill

Summer:
BIOM30003 - Biomedical Science Research Project

Semester 1:
BIOM30002 - Biomedicine: Molecule to Malady
NEUR30003 - Principles of Neuroscience
NEUR30002 - Neurophysiology: Neurons and Circuits
SPAN10001 - Spanish 1

Semester 2:
BIOM30001 - Frontiers in Biomedicine
NEUR30004 - Sensation Movement and Complex Function
OPTO30007 - Visual Neuroscience

feel free to use this as a subject help thread, jaffys

Hello, I need some advice on my subject choices! I'm heading down the Graduate MED pathway but have some trouble choosing subjects other than the Med pre-requisuites.

Semester 1
BIOL10004 - Biology of Cells and Organisms
CHEM10007 - Fundamentals of Chemistry
PHYC10003 - Physics 1                                  <- I don't know what to put in for my other science elective!!!!
BREADTH                                                          <- Still need to decide on my breadth

Semester 2
BIOL10005 - Genetics & The Evolution of Life
CHEM10003 - Chemistry 1 or Chemistry 2 (Depending on how well I do in Chem 1)
PHYC10006 - Physics 2: Life Sciences & Environment
BREADTH                                                          <- Still need to decide on my breadth

Suggestions would be great!

Semester 1
ANAT20006: Principles of Human Structure
CHEM20011: Environmental Chemistry
CHEM20018: Reactions and Synthesis
PHYS20008: Human Physiology

Winter Intensive
FINA20044: Art and the Botanical

Semester 2
BCMB20002: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
CHEM20019: Practical Chemistry 2
CHEM20020: Structures and Properties
PHRM20001: How Drugs Work

This year is going to be very difficult. All these subjects appear to be very content heavy, but I would rather do subjects that are going to challenge me and boost my knowledge than do easy subjects to boost my mark and not learn anything important.

Oh that's such a shame  :'(

The selection of subjects at unimelb are admittedly some of the greatest things I've ever seen. I hope you find similar joy in your chosen course  ;D
