Can I do units 3/4 chemistry without doing 1/2?

I'm going into year 11 next year, I am planning to do chemistry, but I was wondering if I would be able to handle doing units 3/4 without doing 1/2? And if so, how hard would it be seeing how I am doing methods and physics 3/4 next year as well.  Thankyou

Bit of a stretch. Have so much content to catch up on from 1/2 chem because heaps of the fundamentals carry across to 3/4 chem, much more than most other subjects. So i guess, get started with the 1/2 chem content!

You totes can. It'd be A LOT of hard, hard work to catch up and familiarise yourself with the first years content and you will really need to be on good terms with your teacher but it's definitely possible! Nothing is ever impossible if you put your mind to it. Although doing 3/4 methods and physics as well might put too much of a strain on you. There's  heaps of homework and just straight memorisation involved with both subjects and doing a 3/4 subject without first doing the 1/2 the teacher will be expecting you to dedicate most of your time to their subject. But if you feel that you can do it I would talk to the teacher who would be teaching it and talk it over.

Unlike other subjects, I hear that Chem is crammed with content over the two years. Even with foundation from 1/2, many schools struggle to thoroughly go through the content..
