Status: Currently full
IntroductionHi there!
My name is Stephen and I completed Year 12 in 2013. In 2016, I am offering tuition for VCE Biology Units 3 & 4 and VCE Chemistry Units 1-4.
A little bit on my educational backgroundI graduated as college dux with an ATAR of 99.90. This included study scores of 50 in Biology and Further Mathematics (with Premier's VCE Awards), 46 in English, 45 in Chemistry and Mathematical Methods (CAS) and 42 in Specialist Mathematics. These results earned me the Melbourne National Scholarship by the University of Melbourne and the Australian Student Prize. I am about to start my third and final year of the Bachelor of Biomedicine under the Chancellor's Scholars Program at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Neuroscience.
About my tuition serviceMy focus is providing high quality 1-on-1 tuition to high school and VCE students. I recognise that everyone learns differently and that each student has their own unique strengths and weaknesses, so I carefully plan, prepare and tailor my resources to meet their personal goals, and aim to be flexible enough to ensure I directly address their individual needs. My lessons are thorough and engaging, with the key concepts and skills communicated clearly and effectively. At the same time, lessons are also relaxed so that students feel comfortable and are able to achieve to the best of their ability. With my help, students will learn the tips and tricks necessary for success in VCE.
My tuition experienceI have provided tuition in both VCE Biology Units 3 & 4 and VCE Chemistry Units 1-4 for the past two years; this includes being selected twice by the University of Melbourne's Student Union to teach Biology and Chemistry as part of their VCE Summer School Programme.
Other important credentialsI hold a current and valid Working With Children Check.
All tutors are required to have one of these by law.The specificsLessons are available at the Caulfield and Carnegie libraries at the rate of $40 per hour. Other locations such as the State Library of Victoria or The University of Melbourne may be possible pending other arrangements.
