Doing well in competitive math does not correspond to getting a high score in methods, my tutor always talks about how his student who was a bronze medalist in the international maths olympiad and how he only got 43 for methods.

Nevertheless, this guy sounds like a genius. :)

Lol, I remember him talking about his 'mathematician' rank in Australia and the world :P
I think it was a comparison between local maxima and absolute maxima :D
Remember, remember the 5th of November

2010 - MM CAS (47) - Cisco 1+2 (pass :P)
2011 - Eng - Phys - Chem - Spesh - Latin - UMAT
ATAR - 99.00+ plz... :)

You mean prizes in AMC... if you get a medal in AMC every single year (there are people who have done so) you are an absolute genius :)
But yeah, still all that's pretty impressive. 1st in biology this year? :O Congrats Thushan, going for 50 in bio too?

I wish comp maths helped with methods more but nvm, as long as I take it seriously next year, it should be fine. Still, most olympians get great scores in MM/Spec/UMEP. :)
