New rules: Everyone must wear flannel.
I'll lend Erutepa a flanny and wear my faux one then - the weather seems to allow for them, although it may get a bit warm.

FYI current temperature estimates a top of 25įC that day, probably slightly overcast.
I will take responsibility for what I have done. If I must fall, I will rise each time a better man.

Only two more sleeps until the meet up!

I do want to also reiterate that this is a chill event - no one is going to judge you for being late or early or w/e (I may have been a bit self-concious about this at my first meetup).

I look forward to catching up with and meeting people!

Update: one more sleep till the meet up! I spent literally more than 5 hours making cookies in the past 2 days so you better come thanks~

Hey everyone!

Details:
Where: Carlton Gardens (a few min walk from melbourne central)
When: 15th December 2019 11am until everyone has to leave (usually 4 ish)
Who: You, regardless of your post count or year level, everyone is welcome! (Also welcome to bring a friend if meeting strangers from the internet is too weird for you/your parents haha).
What: Awkward chats (probably only at the start, then some high quality banter*), frisbee/uno/other games depending on what people bring, food.

Post below if you have any questions/concerns or just want to express your excitement ;)

*Banter quality not guaranteed.

Edit: Forgot to say: Although this meetup will be around the atar release date, that's not what the meetup is about, it won't be the focus of conversation, and it's totally okay if you don't want to talk about atars/uni offers at all.

Map
This is where we normally meet - if you're coming from Melbourne Central just walk straight up La Trobe st and you'll be in the right place.

If you get lost, post here or send me a PM and we'll come find you!

Quoted the info above for everyone to refer back to - as well as that, make sure to bring a blanket to sit on, any games you may like to play (card games tend to go down well, if anyone wants to smash out some Uno) and your wonderful selves, wrapped in a flannel if you have it available. We're going to have some fun and laughs, and hopefully some brand new friendship, and I can't wait.

I'll be arriving early to make things look welcoming and make sure there's a spot for any punctual arrivals, so if you're searching I will be the flanneled, dirty-blonde-haired girl sitting with a flanneled, curly-haired guy at Carlton Gardens just off of La Trobe St.

See you soon! 💙

Hey everyone! Thanks so much to those who came today - we had heaps of fun and those flannels were 🔥 🔥 🔥

I hope nobody is particularly emotionally damaged due to a mean game of Uno  :-[

If you'd like a photo from today, please PM me and I'll send it through. Otherwise, thanks for coming, and we'll see you again at the next meet up! 💙

Maybe next time it will happen if we bring a second frisbee...😂

Thank you so much to everyone for making the day just as amazing as it was! The flannel gang looked amazing and a huge shoutout to Poet and Erutepa for organising everything from start to finish (including the beautiful cookies! Extra shoutout to those that brought food along too!)

Looking forward to another future meetup with a classical game of monstrous Uno! ;D

Hi everyone,

Thank you to everyone who came to the meetup today (or Facetimed in). Special thanks to Poet and Erutepa for coming in early, securing a spot and welcoming everyone. Also PhoenixFire for planning the meet.  I was a touch late for the meet so ended up missing a few people but hope to see any of you guys at a later date.

Regards,
Sine
