Should I do spesh

I am looking to do spesh 3/4 without 1/2 next year. I have 5 subjects at the moment and want to do spesh as I am much more mathematically inclined and enjoy maths. If I do go ahead with spesh, then that'll mean I am doing all three maths in which I am aware of the inclusion of only two maths to my top 4. The problem is that i attend a school that doesn't offer spesh 1/2 nor 3/4, however, the other campus of my school do offer it. That campus is a fair distance away from me (50 minute commute), but has very experienced teachers whom I have previously been taught by some of them. If I do not move campuses, then I'll have to pick up a subject like Business Management or HHD, which I dislike, or to do spesh via DECV. My 3/4 subject this year is Further Maths, followed by my 1/2's: English chemistry physics methods. Please help

Hi, I'm only in spesh 1/2 right now so take my advice with a grain of salt. I'm pretty sure that with spesh, the completion of 1/2 is generally highly recommended for 3/4 (many schools won't let you into 3/4 if you haven't done 1/2), but if you have a VERY strong background in maths and consistently receive top grades in methods, it might not be necessary.

idk about your school, but i'm currently doing spesh 1/2 through DECV and despite it being a relatively weak cohort i think the subject is generally pretty well run here. of course, it might not be the same in 3/4.

Please don't do a subject you dislike, it's really not worth it!
Do not think of yourself highly, but rather with sober judgement

I honestly would do it! I'm kind of in the same position as you too. I do further 3/4 and want to do specialist 3/4 without the 1/2. It you are a really good maths student, especially doing calculations by hand, I would recommend doing it. Do what you are passionate about and results should follow! Do remember that if you do 3 maths, only 2 will be part of your primary 4, the other one will be a 10% subject. Doing all 3 maths link together quite nicely, and if you have done the geometry module for Further, you have covered quite a bit for unit 1 Spesh. I would just look over the Unit 1/2 stuff from Spesh before commencing 3/4 so you have an idea of what you are up against. ;D
