How do you train your vocabulary?

Tiny question! Sorry if this isn't the right place. Just thought to put it in the general English space.

I used to have a really expansive vocabulary, but some time last year I sort of feel like I.. lost it?
It's so bizarre (and frustrating!) to constantly have words on the tip of your tongue that just don't come to you. I don't know if this is all that common, but in both my specific, and a general sense, how do you folks keep your words in check? Is just reading books my best bet? Or are there other resources available?

(My Literature teacher is starting to get on me about this, so now I'm really worrying LOL. Thanks :) )
Panicking.

2018: Media 1/2
2019: Psychology 1/2, Biology 1/2, Literature 1/2, Chemistry 1/2
The Future (probably)
2020: Biology 3/4, Literature 3/4, Chemistry 3/4, Math Methods 1/2
2021: Psychology 3/4, Math Methods 3/4, Health and Human Development 3/4
Goal: Survive (and Medicine, ideally!)

What a freaking amazing (for lack of better wording) resource! Thanks so much for sending the article. :)

And in regards to technique - would it be bad to say that I have no idea?
