Scientifically, it's reported that classical music is the best to listen to as there isn't any lyrics to distract your brain whilst trying to study.
But legit tho it's kind of an individual thing, just expirement and hopefully you'll find your music study niche ;)
Lofi hip hop or acoustic versions of your fav songs are my personal favs.
Hopefully this helps  :)

I second this  :) I listen to a lot of indie music and lofi which is more chill and relaxing to listen to and sets up a nice ambience for studying. Classical music is scientifically proven to be the best but as a music student, I know I get distracted really easily by the cool stuff that happens in it. It also puts others to sleep so it just depends on your preferences.

I have some suggestions from a variety of film, indie and classical music recommendations below  ;D Hope something appeals to you!

I can't provide much detail on the scientific area, but for me, I can't stand listening to music whilst studying.
My assistant principal, whom has taught psychology for probs 15+ years and was a clinical psychologist, said that you're, and I quote, 'delusional' if you believe music helps you study. She mentioned a case she studied on about this but I forgot what it was called.
Who knows though, I personally think music does help people to some extent.

When I need to concentrate, I've recently been using these long background music clips: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSOtku1j600 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ke_UH7uwjCY

Otherwise, classical music works wonders too! ^-^

What we were told was to be very careful with music when preparing for final exams, because if you weren't used to working in the silence of exam conditions it might throw you off in the actual exam. Still sounds like good advice to me.

As for the rest, I listen to music far more at home than I did in VCE, but never at work. I know it distracts me sometimes, but I enjoy it - plus, if I don't listen to music then sometimes my mind helpfully fills in with random music that can be more distracting trying to figure out what is playing and why.
In western lands beneath the Sun
the flowers may rise in Spring,
the trees may bud, the waters run,
the merry finches sing.
