Register your Arrival?

Hello

Someone I know got an offer at Monash (she's international), but apparently you need to register your arrival by 1st of march?
The problem is, she is overseas and bought her plane ticket to arrive on the 5th of march before the offer came.. Does she srsly need to buy another ticket to register her arrival at Monash uni to enrol successfully? Sounds really stupid.

Also, she emailed [email protected] and explained her situation to be granted late arrival date, but they rejected that and are now asking her to be in Australia by 26th of February 10 AM. This is not acceptable by any means.

How come everyone else get to register their arrival by 1st of March, but now she needs to register her arrival by 26th of March..

I am planning to call their annoying support tomorrow, but was wondering if anyone can share their experiences or thoughts.
