##### Tertiary Myki

I'd just like to know at what stage I am allowed to use a Tertiary Myki on PTV. I haven't got my Monash ID card yet (haven't even ordered it yet), so do I have to wait on a full fare Myki until that comes, or is there some other proof that I can show?

Have you applied for a public transport student concession card? Usually this card is what you need to carry when travelling with a concession myki as a tertiary student.

You can use a tertiary myki as soon as you have the proper PTV tertiary ID, which I'm under the belief that you have to submit one of these bad boys and pay the $9 to get the PTV tertiary "card" laminated at any train station that has staff and office (such as Werribee, North Melbourne, Glenferrie and Ringwood for example) Monash on the Web Enrolment System have one of these mostly prefilled for you and ready to print, provided you've given Monash a photo! (I know they've removed the secondary and primary versions of these cards, but I asked my local station lady a month ago and asked if I still needed one of these and she said yes haha ) Slightly beaten by MB_ but the WES info is still handy #### appleandbee • Victorian • Forum Leader • Posts: 743 • Respect: +192 ##### Re: Tertiary Myki « Reply #3 on: February 11, 2019, 02:00:05 pm » +5 If you have a health care card (received one when I got my youth allowance but not everyone may be eligible for it), you can use that instead. No forms, just show them the card, pay the fee and bring your health care card along whenever you're taking public transport. « Last Edit: February 11, 2019, 02:01:47 pm by appleandbee » VCE Class of 2015 Studying Anthropology, Philosophy and Biology at Unimelb #### Yertle the Turtle • MOTM: FEB 18 • Forum Leader • Posts: 987 • This page is blank • Respect: +456 ##### Re: Tertiary Myki « Reply #4 on: February 11, 2019, 06:33:14 pm » 0 You can use a tertiary myki as soon as you have the proper PTV tertiary ID, which I'm under the belief that you have to submit one of these bad boys and pay the$9 to get the PTV tertiary "card" laminated at any train station that has staff and office (such as Werribee, North Melbourne, Glenferrie and Ringwood for example)

Where am I meant to upload the photo? I've looked in a few places, but can't find anywhere to do so, and when I ask it to give me the form it says it can't because I haven't uploaded the photo yet.

It's your Monash ID photo- submit it through the ID portal
(Or obviously visit Monash, whatever's easiest )
