Congrats on your English mark!  :)

Do you know why you scored higher this time?

thankyouuuu
Um tbh I'm not too sure - my friends think its cause I have a different teacher this year (I previously had the same English teacher from year 7 - 10)
But idk, maybe Im taking it more seriously this year??
Actually i might have figured it out I read the text 3 times instead of the usual half arsed read cause i HAD to

READING THE BOOK HELPS KIDDOS 😂

I haven't read through all your posts to see if you decided on studio or legal
but my advice is don't do legal, it's the most insipid class you will find...at least studio will probably be enjoyable which will make it easier to learn and get you higher marks!
I may not be the strongest. I may not be the smartest. But I'm damn well going to try my hardest.

UPDATE
I am generally a very modest and humble person but I feel that perhaps I have earnt the right to brag a lil.

Throughout my high schooling I've been pretty bad at maths, In year 9 I had a great teacher and was getting better and was understanding what I learnt...then came Year 10 where our teacher would give us the questions he wanted us to do and whenever we asked for help he waould say look in the textbook - we would and if we didn't understand he'd say read it again if we still didn't understand he would write what was in the textbook on the board without explaining it...

I was averaging 20% on tests and HATED maths.

Now you might be wondering what I want to brag about - for the first time in my schooling I got over 50% on a maths test.

Now this mightn't seem like much of an achievement until I tell you that I got
100%

And you know that mightnt be 'something to be proud about' cause 'math is easy' but coming from me I'm pretty darn proud.
Anyways thats my lil brag, hope everyone's having a fabulous day!

8/04/19 - 14/04/19
Week 1, Term 1 Holidays

Been a hectic week - worked Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I finished the Biology part of my list and the first 2 sub topics of my Psychology list, and my friend passed away on Wednesday, went to my boyfriends house for lunch yesterday and am going down to SES to give the vehicles a wash and general equipment maintenance.

With this being said - works been good; ran a birthday party on Sunday and Mon, Wed, Fri I was lifeguarding the inflatable which long story short means I spend 4 hours swimming up and down a 25 metre pool making sure if a kid fell off they wouldn't drown, it's safe to say my legs had a good workout.
My Biology notes are a good and am ready for Term 2.
Am currently writing this cause I'm procrastinating about writing Psych notes haha and i wanna go back to bed - it's not helping its 9 am and i'm still in my pj's YAY FOR LAZINESS!

10 Things About Me
1. Where Do You Like To Go When You Eat Out?
Fast food wise definitely Subway - meatball sub with salami, beetroot, pineapple, onion and cheese with ranch sauce - dont dis it till ya try it it's FLIPPING amazing
Or the pub; all round great choice

2. Do You Like To Cook?
UM YES - my family is vegan and I love trying to make veganised versions of things like mac and cheese (it's so good it can pass for real mac and cheese and its legit just potato, onion, chickpeas, carrot, nutritional yeast and salt), and i recently made a 'meaty' lasagna with textured soy protein as the meat.

3. Could You Live Without The Internet?

Honestly probably - it's amazing but I'm sure if i didn't have it I'd be way more productive and healthy with that said the internet is a really useful tool

5. What Would Your Perfect Day Be Like?
Spending a day with my bf, cooking food with loud music, maybe with some wine and talking about stupid stuff

6. What’s On Your Bucket List?
Go skydiving

7. Do You Have Any Trips Coming Up?
A trip to the fridge???

8. What Is Your Favorite Hobby?
Cooking?? Surfing?? Camping?? One of those 3

9. Do You Have/Have You Ever Had Any Pets?
Yes, I've had 2 dogs - a border collie named Pippa (we gave her to someone else cause she kept biting my brother) and currently a greyhound named Pearl.

10. Do You Drink Coffee Or Tea?
Tea, tea, teateateateateateateateateateateateateateateateateateaTEAAA

Went to a vegan asian restaurant (Gong De Lin) in Melbourne

That sounds very intense. Hope you're able to take some time off to recuperate if that would help at all

Congratualtions on getting your work done :)
I haven't been to any of the vegan restaraunts in the city but I've been to Oh My Greens in Melton and that was really nice. Do you know what type of book you would pick?

Courses
Namely Law & Criminology, Juris Doctor and Paramedicine

I didn't know were to put this so I thought I might put it here and I'm hoping it'll get a lil attention to help me answer some questions. Ever since I was 9 I wanted to be a lawyer but gave up when I realized I needed a 94 ATAR and come on lets be realistic I don't think i can even get a 90 - recently I've decided or realised I won't live with myself if I don't try so i'm looking for advice

Quote
Laws and Criminology
Bachelor degree (honours)/Bachelor degree

ATAR requirements
98 - Lowest Selection Rank to which an offer was made
94 - Monash guarantee for 2019 entry

Subject prerequisites
All applicants must satisfy the following prerequisites or their equivalents.
English
English Units 3 & 4 with a study score of at least 35 in English (EAL) or 30 in English other than EAL

How do students achieve a 90+ ATAR?
How hard is it to achieve a 94?
What kind of study habits do students who achieve a 90+ ATAR's have?
Is it unrealistic for me to have this ambition (on getting a 94+)?
Does any 90+ students have any advice?
Can you transfer into a law course?
Are there any other pathways?? (I've looked but it's confusing)
Does hard work actually pay off?
Has anyone here gotten into a law degree with a <90 ATAR?
How can I make my dream real?

Quote
Juris Doctor
Professional entry master degree

Qualifications
An undergraduate degree (or equivalent) with at least a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.0 on a 7 point scale, or qualification/experience or satisfactory substitute that the faculty considers to be equivalent.
Or
An undergraduate degree (or equivalent) with at least a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0 on a 7 point scale and LSAT score of 150+ (taken within 5 years prior to applying for admission).
Or
If, in addition to a bachelor degree (or equivalent) the applicant has incomplete studies in a law admission degree course, a minimum GPA of 5.0 on a 7 point scale in the law studies, with no fail result in the final year, is required. Credit for prior studies, up to a maximum of 48 points may be awarded.

English requirements

English language requirements are met by an applicant having studied in an institution where English is the language of instruction and assessment for the entire institution and have satisfactorily completed the equivalent of one years full-time (two standard full-time semesters) of either:
a university undergraduate award program; or
a program that has been assessed as being taught at an equivalent level to Monash University undergraduate study; or
Postgraduate study as specified above

Minimum English language requirement:
IELTS 7.0 overall (no band lower than 6.5)
TOEFL Paper-based test: 587 with TWE of 4.5
TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 94 overall with minimum scores: Writing 24, Listening 20, Reading 19, and speaking 20.

Whats LSAT? Is that like the bar?
Whats IELTS? WHats TOEFL?
Can you do a law degree and then Juris Doctor? You can't can you?

Quote
Paramedicine
Bachelor degree

ATAR requirements
82.8 - Lowest Selection Rank to which an offer was made
70 - Monash guarantee for 2019 entry
70.95 - Lowest ATAR to which an offer was made

Subject prerequisites
English
Units 3 & 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or 25 in English other than EAL
Maths
Units 3 & 4: a study score of at least 22 in Mathematical Methods (any) or Specialist Mathematics, or a score of at least 25 in Further Mathematics

Is a 30 study score average? Is it easy to get a 30 in English?
Is it more realistic to focus on getting a 70? Is my ambition to become a lawyer futile?

IELTS and TOEFL are tests to see how well you can communicate in English. If you study your undergrad in English you're not required to sit either of these.
