I'm sooo nervous for this test. I have been waiting for months and now there's only a week left.  :-[

Has anyone got their email about the test for next Saturday?\

I haven't gotten the email but apparently according to some people, the email comes a week before the exam. So we should get it tomorrow.  :D
I also heard that it was being held at Claufield Race course but they could be wrong.

I have a question. Does the test results and entry to interview involve the students at ur schl?  There has been rumours going around, cuz i have a lot of people from my school sitting the test- they said that 3% of students who pass would get into the interview. So if out of 15 students, 7 passed, would like 2/3 people get into the interview ?  :-X

soo is the prac writing this the whole prac writeup or just the discussion???

The prac writing according to some people is just the discussion and use have to use the rest of the prac report to help.

So confused !  ??? :o

You guys are worrying too much. It's not that hard. Just spend the little time remaining getting some good sleep and being confident for the test. I regret worrying so much last year.

I'm a bit confused. I've been going to James An and they've said that there is no numerical reasoning. Could anyone quickly what Numerical Reasoning is and how I can quickly study it in less than a week?
Much appreciated

Can someone please send me a link to the 2019-2020 JMSS entry discord?
Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create life. He had such a knowledge of the Dark Side, he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying.
The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.
He became so powerful, the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which, eventually of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself

I just received the email form JMSS and EduTest. Going on June 22, today is the day that we had the semester 1 exam, but I didn't pay much attention to it. I'm familiar with numeracy and mathematics and I don't think I have trouble with them, because I'm good at math and do lots of practice, just like the selective entrance test. but can anyone provide me examples of scientific reasoning and science essays? Especially the essays, I heard that it's most likely to be biology, I'm really nervous about that :o because I used to study physics at all times, a large number of biology terms are distressing!
Troublesome getting to JMSS

I heard that nearly half the people (400/940) will pass the test, I come from China where we practice for tests every day, so I'm not so worried. but the interview, however, only 200 will past, and fail at the interview is likely. Other than common extra-curriculum stuff, I apply scientific knowledge into life to make things (a railgun, a pair of fluorescent UV-detection glasses, etc.) can I mention that in the interview? As the show of Ďpassion in scienceí where everyone heard in the information night.

Lol you guys need to chill out hahahah. If you are stressed or nervous during the exam I can tell you that youíre screwed. I did MHS in year 8, I was all prepared and I had studied very advanced questions but during the exam I was literally shaking which distracted me so much. In the exam I did last week I was super chill and I felt I was much more concentrated and I did much better.

Just relax guys and make sure youíre not stressed during the exam thatís all. I can show you one of the essays if you join the discord chat (iím posting the prompt now over there).

Alright, wish me luck (test is in a few days). So far Iíve gone through 6 completions of the year 9 and 10 science textbooks, did the entire year 10 math textbook twice and have done a lot and a lot of practice tests. So much has happened over the past year and I find it quite unbelievable that I have studied so much. I wouldnít of even moved a muscle if it werenít for AN ppl though, so thank you. Thanks for the motivation, thanks for the tips and basically thanks for everything.  :D

For those reading in the future, Iíll tell you what I did for prep. For the first 6 months of the year of prep, I aimed to learn the entire year 10/9 science and math content, taking it easy and slow. I was not working on speed at this point, instead I was working on knowledge. For the next 6 months I redid the textbooks, at a faster pace, to retain the information and also did practice tests. I did many practice tests from EduKingdom and JAC but also did some online. Each day I aimed to do at least 5 hours, which now I think about it, is crazy, but I was so wrapped up in determination I didnít care.

Anyways, it getting late. Iíll tell you guys if I made it or not in a few months time.

Thanks you,

So if i don't know the answer to the question on the test, should I do 'c' or 'b', which one? And does anyone have any last minute tips?

For all the questions you do not know an answer to, I recommend guessing the same letter.

Thanks you,

Wow you studied a lot. Do you go to a selective school or something? Why do JMSS then?
