I had completely forgot about this song but it was HUGE and literally unescapable back then

It was, wasn't it? Definitely a big hit.

What a sneaky way of working out everyone’s birthdays J41.....

Mine was also Love is All Around, which is a fkn classic

Hehe. #sneakyjoseph

When I was born:
Australia: Mascara/Leave Me Alone - Killing Heidi
USA: Thank God I Found You - Mariah Carey
UK: Rise - Gabrielle

First day of Prep (roughly):
Australia: Nasty Girl - Nitty
USA: Let Me Love You - Mario
UK: It's Now Or Never - Elvis Presley

First day of Year 7 (roughly):
Australia: Wild Ones - Flo Rida featuring Sia
USA: We Found Love - Rihanna feat Calvin Harris
UK: Twilight - Cover Drive

(Not at the end of Year 12 yet so I did prep instead)

I feel that it's only right to update with the songs on the day of my last year 12 exam:

Last Year 12 exam: (Tuesday 14th November 2017)
Australia: Rockstar - Post Malone ft. 21 Savage
USA: Rockstar - Post Malone ft. 21 Savage
UK: Havana - Camila Cabello ft. Young Thug

When I was born Happy Xmas (War is Over) by Delta Goodrem was Number 1 in Australia. In the US it was Hey Ya, an all-time favourite of mine.
the cage is shattered
the songbird sings
of her freedom once more

soars in blue
basks in the light
leaving nothing
but notes behind

she is never going
back in that cage
