I did chemistry in year 12* but there was so much I wanted to do in my course that I couldn't fit it all in
Doing: Engineering, maths, physics, finance
What I wish I could have done too: chemistry, IT, psychology (never had a chance but I love learning about how people think)

* Disclaimer: I may actually not be doing VCE

It's great that you have a lot of interests, though; you should never get bored.

@Joseph41 I compete in short sprints and LJ

Nice! Have you done that since you were young?

Thanks for the support everyone    10/3/2017 Today nothing really happened, but right now after my English SAC I'm struggling to stay motivated for English, because for the past few weeks I've just been churning out essays. Also I got a decent result for a chemistry test, but I feel a bit disappointed, because I could have done much better, especially since I lost most of my marks due to careless mistakes.

Those essays will be worthwhile in the long-run.

10/03/17
- was at home
- did some chem
- annotated some parts of othello - it's surprisingly interesting and i'm loving my english class
- got a chem SAC back and apparently one of the errors i made were in defining ionisation energy: 'the tendency for an electron to lose an atom' what am i doing. . .  So disappointed . . . .

Good stuff! Do you like your English class because of the content or the people? Or both?

Thought might as well start my own journal (I hope to come back to this exactly next year)

10th of March 2017:
- A lot of work! Chemistry/ methods/ specialist.... you name it.
- Got quite a few SACs coming up - physics/ specialist
- I am excited to get my English SAC back on Tuesday (I hope I have done well)
- Attempted to debate on AN  (I am still not a good debater  )
- Something really funny happened involving me and my friends

Great to have you! Best of luck for Tuesday.

March 11th 2017

Doing 5 subjects in year 12, this is how im going

English - A bit nervous for my text response SAC coming up but ill remember some quotes and plan accordingly

Further Maths - Got 100 percent on my Univariate Date SAC, overflowing with confidence

Economics - It's competitive with my mates so i need to do well on the first SAC in a couple of weeks.

PE - Not much happening right now, but i got 93 percent on the first SAC earlier in the year so im pretty confident.

French - Now here's where im worrying. Im almost the worst in my class, i need to do extra if i want to catch up.

Hey, tjb3099! Welcome to ATAR Notes. Let us know if you need a hand with anything.

Sounds like you're mostly nailing it at the moment. And I didn't study French (after like Year , but I'm sure there are lots of people here that can help.

How on earth do u think u stuffed the methods sac when u got an 85% which is so good

This was just an example haha. I didn't even study Methods.

Love this idea!

11/03/17

Last week I had my first SAC- a German one. I'm really not sure how I went. I've mulled it over in my head and found a few grammatical errors. Also, I'm concerned that I didn't stick to the prompt enough.

In two weeks I have an English SAC, which I'm feeling a bit nervous about. Will write my 4th practice essay this weekend.

After that I have a Literature SAC. I'm very stressed about this one. We haven't done much preparation in class, so I'm working on getting all my ideas together this weekend. After that I will put it all into writing.

German's cool - for how long have you studied it?

Started when I was 15, pretty late compared to most other kids that I compete with. Still managed to run decent times and jumped well so far, last season was a bit of a shambles though.

That's slick as. What happened last season (and does the calendar year = one season?)?

First Month of year 12:
Quit my job after seeing how much 3-4 hours of work was affecting me, sacs for all subjects except History Rev (won't be til next term) have begun, homework piles and piles, when you're done, you get more the next day, never ending cycle..sees boyfriend every 1-3 weeks, tutor every 1-2 weeks, Waking @ 6.45am everyday, getting to school @8:15 to finish homework, classes at 9:10. depending on the cycle, one week I got 4 afternoons off, the week after 2 afternoons off, weekends are for resting.. or seeing boyfriend,

Year 12 is stressful guys, although we're all competing, lets all work together to make this year a good year!

Hey, shezzaloves! How's it going?

Sounds like a pretty hectic life at the moment. Seeing your boyfriend once every 1-3 weeks is rough. What do you tutor?

*Totally* agree with that last line, too!

I've been studying German since primary school. But those years were largely useless, considering I only remembered colours and numbers once I got to high school

Hahahaha I was absolutely the same with Italian. I really wish I kept with a language, though - definitely one of my biggest regrets. So kudos.

Hahaha sorry, that was totally my bad. It's been a long week.

I don't think any subject is basic! I actually love your subjects. Of those, I did HHD and Psych (two of my favourites!), but I'm interested in all five. What's your favourite subject at the moment?

P.S. For reference, all of my subjects were scaled down apart from English Language.

Legal & Health are my favs! legal may have alot of content but its fun! health is basically the human body, pretty much like psych but health is body based and psych is brain based pretty much haha

Yeah, right on! You definitely have a lot of content to deal with this year, so it's glad you enjoy them haha.

Do you want to continue with something Legal or HHD-related after school?

Hey everyone!
So I my first round of SACs last week, and though I was lucky enough to escape the week of hell like some of my friends (5 sacs in the one week) I did an English Creative Response Sac, Health, Chinese oral and a chem and methods test. Not sure how Chinese and English went, but feel like i did pretty ok. The Methods test and Chem test is a different story though... not sure if I should always prioritise sacs over non-sac tests but I reckon it's agood move, particularly because i didn't totally wing the tests anyway.
Feeling good in motivation, not too low or too high though, but with the long weekend to catch up maybe I can try to get really ahead
Hope everyone's still feeling great! Or at least good...
