The question asks: What would the remainder be if x^2 is divided by x+3.
Would it just be (-3)^2 = 9

The answers say the answer is -27 which confused me a little

It's 9. The question was likely typo'd and meant x^3, not x^2

It's 9. The question was likely typo'd and meant x^3, not x^2
