In an at home sac everyone body cheated but I didnít so ended up getting 70% while a lot of people got 100%. Itís as if my school doesnít care so isnít holding a validation task :(

Now that unit 3 is worth more than unit 4 I donít think I can get the 40-45 study score I wanted. I know for a fact my schools SACs will either stay the same or scale down as thereís 200 of us (a few strong ones) and many  people who donít care about school.

Unit 3 SACs
Creative:83%
Text Response: 70% (online)
Language Analysis: (aiming for 85%)

Is a 40-45 still possible? I know Iím capable of it but the last sac mark has deterred me.

It is still very possible to score in the 40's as long as you ace the exam. If the people who cheated scored 100% on the sacs, but did bad on the exam then their sacs would get scaled down. Vaca will assume the teacher is a lenient marker because people scored really high on sacs, but did ass on the exam. My advice is to do your best from here onwards :)

But then my SACs will also scale down?

If a lot of people in your year level perform badly then unfortunately yes. The only way you can be safe is it you are ranked 1 in your cohort.

Hey I'm ThunderDragon

I just got back my first Chem Sac on U3 AOS 1 and I got 32.5/50 (65%). The average was roughly 40/50 (80%). My cohort is pretty strong however I'm not sure whether I can get a 40+ score still and if so, what type of marks do I need for the remaining 4 Sacs?

I know I should probably focus on studying and improving instead of focusing on the scores but I'm pretty nervous since I kinda need a 99+ unless my UCAT is amazing.

Only your ranking matters, in the end sacs get moderated so it is very difficult to say for certain. But if your cohort is strong, your sacs get moderated up. The best thing is to ace the remaining sac, try to score above class average and do well on the exam. A study score of 40+ is doable tho.

What rank should you be in order to get a 45+ in English in an average cohort? Also the same question for a 40+. What sort of exam mark should you be getting for these respective scores with a ranking of 5 out of a cohort of 25? Kindly appreciated

Well SAC scaling depends on cohort strength, but, here's what you'd approximately need on the exam if your U3&4 SACs were 100%.

43/60 = 40ish
52/60 = 46ish
57/60 = 49ish

2019: English [46], Latin [45], Chemistry [41], Mathematical Methods [48], Specialist Mathematics [41]
ATAR: 99.95

2020: BMedSci, M.D. @ Monash Uni

What kind of grades for chinese 2nd lang unit 3&4 and exams do I need to get a 30+ ss in an average strength cohort? (I've been averaging above 80% in unit 3)

I honestly regret doing chinese even though I loved it before vce so if I get a 30 I would actually cry of happiness

The Deakin Study Score calc says that these results would yield a 40, however that doesn't take into account cohort so i could be a little higher or lower but most likely high 30s to low 40s

Cheers Eloise! I prefer not to use the deakin ss calc as it just converts % into the corresponding ss w/o taking into account anything else, and i feel like it might be way off and crush my dreams! With that being said it predicted me 28 for bio last year and i got a 27

Deakin study score calculator are not that off, if you get 90's throughout the year and on your exam you will land with a 40+ I must also add that 80's can still get you 40 scaled. Also can someone predict my study score? I was averaging 80's and did so bad on the exam lol.
