Advice for Physics 3 & 4

Hi. I'm currently doing year 11 physics but I want to get a head start on year 12 by starting the text now.
Does anyone know which areas of year 11 physics I'll need to cover before starting the year 12 text? So far we've done radiation and electricity/electrical circuits; about to move on to motion.
Thanks for your help.

A bit early! I wish I was as eager as you.
Anyway, I recommend (if you really want to) start year 12 stuff after you've done motion. If you learnt electricity well and your upcoming motion well, it'll be easy for you to pick up the year 12 stuff.
Radiation is not in the year 12 course.

Im in year 11, doing year 12 methods (CAS) and physics and dude...like seriously....(dw..), i mean, most of the Electricity and Motion you do in year 11, just becomes a slight harder (Thats if your good at it - obviously)... but yer, i recommened what dekoyl mentioned....wait till motion - and maybe even sound if you do that?

I'm doing 3 and 4 this year and if I were you I would probably not worry too much at this stage of the year - I think it's really important that you completely immerse yourself in this year's work and make sure you fully understand it -(Concentrate on Motion and Electronics/Electricity - It makes a re-appearance next year!), as all of this Unit 1&2 work forms the base and assumed knowledge for your work next year!!

I've also found myself referring to my Motion and Electricity Notes from last year a bit, So I suggest making some good summary notes as you go this year!

Good Luck!!

PS - If you are wanting to know what you will study next year, check out the Study Design on the VCAA website! :)

My opinion is you don't even need units 1/2 for 3/4 Physics.
The 1st exercise basically covers all of the motion ( the 5 lame ass formulas), and electronics... I forget everything I did in year 11. You pick it up really fast :P
