Title: ERA-Chunking and Short Term Memory
Post by: izzykose on May 07, 2011, 01:43:28 pm
The main extraneous variable for this ERA to be discussed is the interference theory. The tests were between Series A (not chunked) info and Series B (Chunked info) consisting of 7 sets of differing lengths for each Series. It is a digit span test. How could the interference theory relate to an inability to recall new information in the digit span test( for example the start of a list but no numbers after that) thus proactive interference and also the when new information on the list interferes with the ability to remember old info.. such as the prior numbers on a list (retroactive interference). How would i discuss this in a discussion... im having alot of trouble.

I would appreciate any help.
