I'm in year 11 right now and after doing computing for more than half a year now, I've realized I like coding a lot. I chose this subject on a whim but now I really want to pursue a similar type of work after uni. Though as the title suggests, I'm not doing methods, chemistry or physics. I know this sounds like a ridiculous question, but is there any way to get into a software dev course at a decent uni without having done any of them? Is there a certain pathway that I can follow?
Thank you in advance.

Are you sure they are 'prerequisites'. Usually it says "assumed knowledge" which isn't the same as prerequisites.

I can't speak for prerequisites but in terms of pathway to uni but in terms of a career software engineering is a really good area to do self promotion. Most good Engineers do it without realising by way of open source contributions, e.g. GitHub, Bitbucket or things like blogs.. writing about anything you are working on at the time and opinions you might have. 99% percent of Devs don't but you'd put yourself at an advantage with good, clean searchable things that you have done, you don't have to go overboard with it to stand out either.

It is if you’re going via Engineering or straight Software Engineering courses at some unis in Victoria.

Would it be possible to try going via the other routes, such as Computer Science, IT or Science, which may not need the prerequisite or allow you to transfer into Software Engineering at a later date? Would it be possible for you to start U2 ASAP or take up U3/4 of one of these subjects next year and avoid this issue altogether?
