Hey, Zappi! Welcome to ATAR Notes, it's great to have you here! You have a good lineup subject-wise. How's Japanese going for you?

I mostly just picked it for the scaling. Isn't too difficult since I have experience with it and study it outside of school. Good way to brush up on any foundation skills I might've missed 

That's a cool range of subjects! Which is your fave?

Hard to say... I really enjoy English Language since I'm looking into linguistics / translation as a job after VCE

every one of my teachers will tell you that i suck at summarising and being succint so i won't even bother.

NO CLUE. Seriously cannot answer hate or love/ favourite questions. I can never choose.

3. In the event of a zombie apocalypse, what would be your weapon of choice? (Mandatory).
Hmmm well wouldn't choose a knife or gun because if anything i'll end up hurting myself. I would choose a baseball bat or a mace because it easy  to use and it's something I know how to actually use (Kinda).

4. Who do you want to be as a person, what do you want to achieve? (Optional)
Right now I just want to finish VCE and not regret not doing enough.

5. If you had to summarise your life in a paragraph, what would you say? (Optional).
Sleep, eat, study, gaming and repeat.

Hi everyone on the ATAR notes first post discussion page! Before I answer the questions, I just want to say:
I only first heard about this program a month ago and I already love it! I just want to say that I am so thankful for this amazing organisation that the ATAR notes team have put together. You guys are so genuine and supportive and that means so much to all of us stress-heads. You guys have actually inspired me to work towards my goal ATAR and degree and have also made it seem possible to achieve.

1. What year level are you in right now, and what are your subjects? (Mandatory)
I am in my first term of year 12 (argh, help!) and I am currently studying Biology, Chemistry, SOR I, English Advanced, and Maths Ext 1 and 2. It is quite a big work load, but I'm pulling through each day at a time.

2. What movie do you most passionately hate? Provide justification. (Mandatory)
This is a tough one! I'd probably have to say (for now) 'The Kissing Booth'. I just can not stand the cringyness!!

3. In the event of a zombie apocalypse, what would be your weapon of choice? (Mandatory).
A bow and arrow would be a cool weapon, but judging by my archery abilities, I'd probably be the first to die...

4. Who do you want to be as a person, what do you want to achieve? (Optional)
This question is quite hard to answer. Broadly speaking, I would like to be someone who lives in the image of God, leading a moral life, and I also want to be able to say that I did it; that i conquered the HSC, achieved my dream career, surrounded myself with love, experienced everything I've always wanted to. To achieve internal contentment and happiness would have to be the greatest achievment one can attain and that I guess is my ultimate goal!

5. If you had to summarise your life in a paragraph, what would you say? (Optional).
Currently, it would be:

Not very exciting, but the plan is to sacrifice some things now (like my social life, hahah) so later on - after HSC - I will be rewarded!

Flatliners (the remake). I was actually pumped to see it, trailer seemed pretty good. However, it was an absolute abomination, zero plot and made no sense.

I have no idea. A baseball bat perhaps?

I want to make a difference in the world; help reform areas that are lacking, help people in need etc. Basically leave the world a better place than when I came. Yes, I know, extremely cliche.

Hey guys! I'm Símran! Here's a little bit about me in these questions

1. What year level are you in right now, and what are your subjects?

Year 12, starting from term 4. I'm graduating next year, still can't believe it!
I've taken English Adv, Legal Studies, Economics, Business Studies, Languages and Maths

2. What movie do you most passionately hate? Provide justification.

Wow this list is endless! The first to come to my mind as of now has got to be Mean Girls 2. It is so hopelessly directed, such a poor work of cinematography, cheesy dialogue and lazy direction. Clearly had no budget and the cast must've been forced to wear clothes on rent and it was so pathetic and messy, especially comparing it to it's iconic predecessor starring Rachel McAdams and Lindsay Lohan! I can go on and on about how badly they did it and totally butchered everything ugh just thinking about it burns my braincells!

3. In the event of a zombie apocalypse, what would be your weapon of choice?

I'm actually so tempted to say a wine opener! I feel like it would give me a lot of flexibility in the variety of ways I could use it i.e. stabbing some moron whilst the chaotic zombie stampede, or just opening doors or using it in unexpected but creative ways I suppose!

4. Who do you want to be as a person, what do you want to achieve?

Aha this question can get pretty philosophical! I'll take this as a question asking my purpose and ambitions. Well, I am an aspiring academic. I hope to find a place in achieving a Ph.D in a subject I adore so that I can contribute to my field of interest and work as a researcher for educational institutions and do lecturing etc at universities. This is if I don't change my mind, of course! But I hope I'm happy and have a profession that feeds my insatiable curiosity and passion for knowledge and I hope I live fully and fearlessly, continuing to seek novelty and adventure in this world.

Hmmm I just realised that I spelt Further wrong, that annoys me. I choose two math because truthfully I had no clue as to what other subject I wanted and math seemed to be the only subject I can do. It can also be pretty fun especially after studying hours for psychology ahah.
Games I play are Overwatch, bioshock, The Forest (NOT SCARY), Undertale and sometime mindless (not so mindless) games like move or die (pretty fun game) or Town of Salem.

Ah sorry I just updated it! I moved schools so I couldn't get all my subjects hence had to take whatever I got. I'm doing English Adv, Maths, ALL HUMANITIES (Lord have mercy) so that's Business Studies, Legal and Economics and I also go to Saturday School to do Hindi (only for the scaling because literally less than 30 people do it in the state and majority get a band 6 anyway)!

Haha I know, pretty random selection - but good to keep your options open right
Philosophy is great! Never fails to make my brain hurt but it's great.
In a similar vein to philosophy, my Studio theme is the relationship between life and art (more specifically, how people react to and are effected by art). Submitted my TopArts app last week - fingers crossed!
For some reason I didn't expect this forum to be so active and welcoming, this is so wholesome I love it!

Re: "Futher": Oh, that's an easy fix - there's an editing button to the top right of your post. Click that and you can modify any typos or whatever (although I made a grammatical error in my question to you, so we're even haha). There's no need to delete a post that way, especially when you click the blue 'reply' button down below - if you scroll under the text box provided, previous posts are listed with an 'insert quote' button to the top right.          The LEGO movies. I used to love blocks (the things you play LEGO with) when I was young,  then they commercialised it so much. lego this, LEGO that and all these LEGO movies etc.... Sounds dumb but only movie I passionately hate.
