Biomed to Medicine

Hey guys

i was probably going to do biomed next year at monash and was wonderin if i am able to in the future continue on to medicine?

if i finish the biomed degree can i then go on and do medicine at monash after that?

Please answer if you can :)

Well you won't be able to do Medicine at Clayton as that's an undergraduate only course, but you can certainly go on to do their graduate-entry course held at Gippsland. There's more information over here.

yes you can apply for grad-entry medicine at any uni that has it after you do biomed

^in addition to what samuch said, also make sure you meet the subject prerequisites for the Melbourne MD. I think it's the only grad. med school in Australia with the subject prereqs? Don't quote me.

i heard in Melb for biomed, u require to attain  a 75% average every year to get into med
However, in Monash for biomedical science u only require a 75% for the final year to get into a med course.. is that true?
