Ionic's Homework Journal

Ok so pretty much exactly a month before year 12 starts and I still have a bit of holiday homework to get through. So I thought this thread would be a great way to keep myself focused and accountable to complete it all.

I've finished the majority of homework my school has assigned but in the spoilers are a few extra things I've added in to make sure I walk in yr 12 with a solid foundation.

Biology
- Onenote Questions
- Text Book Readings
- Biozone Questions
- Diagram Anootations
- Edrolo Vids

Chemistry
- Read through Fuel Notes (Ch 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3)
- Edrolo Vids
- Revise on Gas Laws and Mole

English
- Complete Creative Piece Draft
- Read and Annotate Ransom
- Read and Annotate The Lieutenant
- Watch ' The Queen'

Methods
- Revise and Complete Chapter 1
- Watch Relevant Edrolo Vids
- Begin Summary Book

Further
- Complete Relevant Edrolo Exercises for Ch 1 & 2
- Complete Summary Book for Ch 1 and 2

Edit: Instead of this just being a 'holiday homework thread', I've changed it for just general homework I have throughout this year.

Hey Everyone
I've haven't been going crazy with homework these past few days but I have gotten a few things  done here and there.
My aim is to get relevant Chem notes on fuels finished by Tuesday (max)

Then after Tuesday and for the remainder of the week focus mainly on methods and biology.
English homework is mainly just reading/annotating my texts so I aim to dedicate 2 hours a day for the remainder of the holidays towards English.

I've finished Chapter 1 for further, and will commence Chapter 2 after all my holiday homework for my other subjects are completed.

Wow good work Ionic Doc! Good luck with the next month  :)
Thanks, Choc, Good luck with your studies as well this month.  :)
Do you have much homework left Choc?

Pretty much finished my assigned homework but I still haven't got as much study done as I'd like. I'm also aiming to finish my notes on fuels soon  ;)

Forgot this existed  :P

Anyways I'm going to start keeping myself more accountable with homework in this thread.
Last year I watched another AN user @Seamus Wong who seemed to be very disciplined and hard-working and achieved his desired score. I'm going to make this thread have a similar format to how his thread was but really only for homework.

Homework (for this week)-

English - Write up creative notes and refine creative piece for upcoming creative SAC on Tuesday.

Methods - Circular Function Ch2.3

Chem - Have finished all the assigned Chem Questions so just have to watch Edrolo Vids and write up some notes

Biology - Prac on Thursday, gotta get through Biozone exercises and assigned worksheets

Further - Checkpoint Q's

Productivity today: 4/10 - Procrastinated to much today.  :(

Edit:  Regarding previous posts in this thread, I successfully got all my holiday homework done ( + a bit more)  ;D

Thanks  Bri   :D

English: First part of a creative piece went fairly good in my opinion, and I have my second part of writing tomorrow. Just gotta re-read my draft piece and make some final touches.

Methods: Finish Circular Functions (Sketching) (Update Summary Book)

Chemistry: Revise Chapters 2 and 3 of Heinemann (Fuels and Gases) in preparation for a diagnostic test on Tuesday. Edrolo Vids.

Biology: Revise over the weekend. Focus on mastering theory behind 'the  lac operon' .

Further: Complete all of Chapter 3 ( Excercise + Summary Book)

Extra - Stuff/Optional: Get through some tutesmart worksheets
Do 6 checkpoint questions for Further, Chem, Bio.

Yup decent amount of work to get though

Productivity: 6.5/10         - I've been seriously neglecting bio and my methods summary book so gotta get on top of those two.

Date: 25th of Feb

English - Start revising and writing first Argument Analysis draft. (Finished Creative SAC now onto this)

Methods - Complete Excercise 2.6 (Sketching Tan graphs) then (practise exam) Excercise 2.8 (Application Excercise 2.7 already completed). Update summary book for circular functions.

Biology - Revise everything learnt so far. (Also got ~86% on my mini quiz)

Chem - Revise everything, starting redox content soon (which is what the first SAC will be on)

Further - Finish Chapter 3 questions and start summary book. (Is it weird that I find methods is easier than further? )

Extra: Continue working through checkpoints.

Productivity today: 6/10
Came back from school, worked out, rested, then only studied bio. Wish I could of have fit a bit of methods somewhere in the evening but I'll make up for it tomorrow.

Date: 7th of March

English - Continue producing Argument analysis drafts (Uhhh my motivation is dying for English, so hard to express myself in writing)

Chemistry - Continue to learn about Redox and Galvanic cells.

Biology - Revise photosynthesis, cellular respiration and enzymes in preparation for SAC on 2nd last week of school.

Further - Finish of Ch4 (Time Series) and revise for upcoming SAC on 2nd last week of school.

Methods - Start to learn basics of transformations for the upcoming first lesson on the topic.
( I'm really liking methods this year)

My first SAC for chem is in the 2nd week of term 2! Lucky to have an understanding teacher who knows the last two weeks of term are crazy.
First SAC for methods is also in term 2, but that also will include like ~10 chapters so  :'(

Quick Update:

I'm hating my SAC timetabling. Next week (if school is even on), I have an English, further and bio SAC back to back.  :(

Of course, I've really only been studying those subjects. I've managed to sneak in a bit of methods to study (transformations using matrices) today, there's just something about methods which I'm loving this year and can't seem to find the word for it, so studying it feel's like a fun mini game.

The subject I've been neglecting is Chemistry. My first SAC for this is in term two, but I still feel guilty that I haven't studied it for almost a week and a bit. I'm gonna have to seriously grind chem over the holidays.

Date: First Day of Term 1 Holiday's

So with the holidays beginning, I have a fair few things I wanna get done. I actually haven't received holiday homework from any of my teachers right now (except bio). They were all very confused and unsure about the whole situation, but I'm sure I'll be getting an email from them sometime today.
That being said, this is what I'm planning to get done this week:

Methods
- Finish of  Chapter 3
- Revise Chapters 1 to 3
- Update Summary Book for Chapter 1 to 3

English
- Continue Drafting For Language Analysis SAC.
- Read 'The Lieutenant', 'Ransom' and watch 'The Queen' (I'm giving myself the whole 3 weeks to get this done)

Further
- Complete Chapters 5 and 6
- Update Summary Book for Chapters 5 and 6
- Keep revising for Ch 1 -4  so that I'm ready for the SAC in term two

Chemistry
- Complete A0S1
- Learn and Revise from Chapters 1 to 7.

Biology
- Begin AOS2 for Unit 3
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So overall a fair bit of work, especially for chem, but I'm confident I'll be able to get it done, given that I'm not going out really. I'm starting from tomorrow, as I'm just resting for today. I'll also be making a strict timetable that I can refer to during these holidays, otherwise, I'll be supperr unproductive.

Other than that,
Stay Safe Everyone  :)
