Hi I was just wandering how big the difference is between getting something like a 89 (borderline band 6) and a 90 (just band 6) and how dramatically it can affect your atar thanks!

Very minimal! Though remember the ATAR is a rank, so if a lot of people happen to be sitting on 89 in a given course, getting to 90 could have quite a large impact! Totally depends on the situation, but regardless, nothing huge ;D

Getting 89 can be annoying because you are 1 mark away from band 6, and your name won't appear on the band 6 list for that subject...

This is very true :-\
High band 5 doesn't have too much impact on ATAR compared to a low band 6 but the level of satisfaction, really.
Get that it would be a bit of a blow to get so close - My partner got 89 in English (so close!), someone in my cohort got an 89.95 ATAR (I mean come oooooon NESA) :P

oh phew I was told by my one of my teachers that it has a 'huge' impact on it so I was worried alot about it lol

Saying it's a huge is a bit of an incomplete and far-reaching statement to mine :)
