Hey guys!

Does anyone know of any future biotechnology applications?
I don't mind what topic just anything that is currently being researched.

Thank you in advance!  :)

Hey there!
I think CRISPR-cas9 is a fantastic example of a future biotechnology!
Little overview:
Crispr-cas9 is found in prokaryotic organism’s genome such as bacteria which is used to defend itself from viruses.
CRISPR: is an enzyme that saves DNA from virus attack
Cas-9: protein which scans DNA for a sequence which matches the archived virus DNA (in CRISPR) and will cut it out.
This can be done in gene therapy to cut out faulty genes and remove mistakes. it has many potential benifits such as being faster, cheaper and more precise, able to modify live cells, programmable and has the ability to eradicate genetic mutations and diseases to improve the lives of many people!

check out this fun little video for more on CRISPR-cas9

hope this helped!!
