i find that in many exams i only lose marks through stupid mistakes....main ones being involved with domain and range as well as trig....any one else care to share the blunders that they might have done? Would be helpful to know what the most common errors were...

Yeah me too.

On last year's exam one paper I put open brackets instead of closed ones for the 'state the range' question. (39/40 though) :(

Can't really think of many for Methods.

I used an acronym like DUFF: "domain, units, ..." forgot the rest, to make sure I had all those minor details. Remember to label intercepts and endpoints on graphs for Exam 1.

I always make stupid mistakes too. That's pretty much the biggest problem for people at the higher end (around A and higher). I'm hoping to have enough time at the end to check over everything. When I did the 2006 exam one at first I got a 30/40 (I think, I didn't cheak the answers at that stage), but then a few days later I checked over it and redid everything and got a 39/40. So, checking will make a huge difference for me.

Well personally I always go wrong when solving slightly complex equations, such as finding inverse functions.

I always make stupid mistakes like writing the wrong number or leaving out a minus sign
