Hello all, it's me! You thought I was dead, didn't you? Nah it was just my sister's birthday yesterday and I had a huge headache and thus did not draw. However, today I'm at my internship and I was told to practice with idealistic female characters (eek!) sooo I did. I actually hate this style haha, it just seems wrong to me. But maybe I'm just jealous idk. Anyway I made another video so here it is:

I didn't record the whole process, only the finelining because I don't have a setup here and had to hold the camera with one hand while drawing with the other haha. Anyway enjoy, and I'll hopefully see you tomorrow 💕

Thank you! :)

Hey all! I did the sky-themed one today and ended up with an owl. This was digital so I didn't video the process (not to mention it took a significant amount of my day to do) but here's the finished product!

Spoiler

I'm up at Philip Island tomorrow so probably won't post - nevertheless, I'll work out what to do next soon.
Love y'all <3

Hedwig-inspired or just my HP mind making that association?

Looks awesome. How'd you do the background?

Hey! You're correct, it is Hedwig-inspired haha. I asked blasonduo last night what bird I should use, he said owl, and technodisney was talking about HP. Mix them together and you get Hedwig.

This was a trial of a new program called Krita, which is basically like ATAR Notes for digital artists. It's very similar to PS (when it comes to drawing tools) but completely free which is AMAZING. I was playing around with brush engines, one of which was chalk-like. I layered it then merged the layers and faded the edges, and voila we have a vague night-sky background. This whole thing was basically an experiment so it's not top quality but I really enjoyed it. :)

Fiiiirrrrst vlog! I don't know why I did this to myself but I'm regretting it already!! :'D

I'm so sorry. Like so so sorry. Skip to 5:16 (yes I talk for 5 minutes how disgusting is that) if you just wanna see the time-lapse (which is also sad).

I'm so tired. This is my worst work to date by far and I'm really hating myself for it but I feel like I have to post it as my daily Doodle because I've already missed 2 days haha. I'll be redoing it, probably digitally another time. My hands were just really unsteady and what was in my head just didn't come out onto the page at all.

Sorry again  :-[
Also fuck I'm ugly aaaaahhh

Encouragement
I thought this was gr8.
Simply the bravery and initiative to film a vlog in the first place is admirable - I for one couldn't do such a thing.
While the fantasy forrest was perhaps not your best of works, I don't think it is deserving of your hatred - it's a pretty decent sketch (and that means something coming from me, an extremely skilled artist).
I also enjoyed your subtitles - they made me laugh and I think made the atmosphere of the whole vlog a bit more comfortable (if that makes any remote sense at all)

Plus more
It would be nice if there was more action scenes, and potentially a romantic subplot, so maybe try to incorporate that in the next one  ;D
seriously though, the start was a bit awkward (but nothing cringy I don't think), but as soon as you started talking about art and the asher exhibition, your confidence picked right up.
If there was one other thing that I would say to improve on, it is to not say sorry and apologize so much - I don't think you kicked anyones dog or stole someone's cookie, so I hardly think you need to apologize for anything.
Also, don't say your ugly, I don't think anyone here will agree with that

Hey friend,

always love your work - even when you aren't able to put 100% into it.

It's be nice if the trees were a bit more green, and I think for the setting a darker green would be more appropriate too ( feedback from a non-artist, so probs not too reliable).

The other thing that artwork was missing is a testudine. If you want a more specific idea a star tortoise would be cool even though it wouldn't match the scene.

I'd also like to see you draw a more Aussie-looking forest :)

AWWWW thank 💞

I know I shouldn't hate it, but the artist is always their own biggest critic and I can't look at it without seeing the flaws and frustrating myself. It gives me a warm feeling to know that I could (hopefully) bring you and others amusement, and I will continue to work on my self-confidence.

PS: romantic subplot? Challenge accepted

Hey, friend! Thanks for the feedback!

Ooft yeah this one was a half-hearted piece of donkey manure, and I definitely get your feedback. I think I'll redo it with your suggestions in mind, which were some of my main issues with the piece (so there you go!) the other main issue here would be the big tree right in the middle. That thing is unnecessary and blocks the view of a little stream I put through there. (in which a little testudine could sit)

No idea what I was thinking. But it's good to sometimes make mistakes or pieces you don't like to analyse them and make mental notes as to what NOT to do.

❤️❤️❤️

That's a seriously good face.

Btw, not sure if anybody else had to read this at school, but the second one reminds me of Dragonkeeper. ;D
