I'm curious as to how you arrived at 4n? Do you remember what you did?

I just redid the calculation, i was wrong. I have no idea how i arrived at it at the time.
My teacher probably made the same silly mistakes i did  ::)
Anyway goodluck everyone!

Will I be punished for not simplifying root(1/x) to 1/root(x)?

I know methods 1 is kinda irrelevant now but what do people think is the mark allocation for the final question? It required an awful amount of working out for a question of only 2 marks.

If I got the 9pi^2 bit, but messed up calculations on the unshaded area (18pi) would that still get one mark?

Cheers.

Hi guys!

I'm just a lowly year 9 who attempted this year's method 1 exam a day after it was officially issued to you all. Of course, home timed conditions don't compare to the stress of the actual exam.

For me, while I was told the last two questions were really hard, I found question 8 quite standard, and didn't find it hard at all. The big kicker of course was question 9, and the last section of question 9 was so convoluted that I couldn't finish it within the allocated time. Having no knowledge of previous methods exams I would say the last question is definitely time consuming and I wouldn't bother trying to finish the last one unless I was confident in my other answers.  ;D

@turtlesforeveryone how is it that you're able to do the yr 12 methods exam as a year 9 student?  :o are you going to do 3/4 methods next year or something?

As per this thread, turtlesforeveryone is not your common or garden variety Yr 9... Are any of the Yr 9's on here for that matter?

Do people know when the examiners report will be released? Very curious to see the percentage who answered the last few questions correctly

Last year's exam reports were released around March/April so I'd expect the same for this year :)
