hi

I have exams for 1+2 methods and I got stuck on this rev question:

solve for x: 2^1-x  times   4^x   =   1/32

I got as far as:

2^1-x  times  2 ^2x    = 1/2^5

the answer is x= -4 but i dont know how to get there

2^(1-x)  *  4^x = 1/32

2^(1-x) * 2^(2x) = 1/(2^5)

2^(1-x+2x) = 2^(-5)

1+x = -5

x=-6        .............. ? lol

2^(1-x) * 4^x = 1/32
=> 2^(1-x) * 2^(2x) = 1/32
=> 2^(1+x) = 2^(-5)
=> 1+x = -5
=> x = -6
