Thought it was about time for another ~update~!

Everything's going pretty well, in short haha. TuteSmart has almost finished its second week (out of 40), and all of the new tutors are absolutely smashing it. Forum vibes feel really good to me - particularly as we focus a bit more on providing for uni students as well as those in the VCE/HSC. We recently launched our VCE/HSC newsletters, and will also have a university newsletter, which will be peachy. 👌

In Victoria, we're planning to produce a whole heap of video content in the coming weeks, for a range of subjects. Definitely something cool to look out for - I'm personally really excited about it.

We'll also have some meet-ups throughout the year, so that's something to look forward to, too. And Jamon's still nailing Snapchat.

I'm currently in the CBD TuteSmart Centre doing some tech testing for these videos, which will be filmed early-mid next week. I'm seriously super pumped - they're going to be groovy!

Videos are going super well; they're going to be really cool. Alevine and howey have filmed already, and EulerFan102 is currently in the hot seat for EngLang and Spesh.

And a final update (for now ) on the video series mentioned above:

We're all done! Today was our last day of filming, and we filmed 100+ videos overall (across 11 subjects, plus UMAT, plus some general study tips). Really exciting stuff, and it was a whole lot of fun, too! A random photo below: our TuteSmart tutor Michael spittin' out some EngLang beats.

IN OTHER NEWS (finally something other than the video series, haha), we have several new titles on the way! What that means is, you'll soon have access to more Complete Course Notes than ever before. Very exciting indeed!

Super Exciting Announcement!

I have just approved our 3000th free course note for our free notes section!

Put that into perspective - Three thousand files. Across over a hundred subjects. To benefit over 100,000 Year 12 students (and way more in Year 11 and below). Three thousand sets of notes.

This could only have been possible thanks to the incredible community of AN members who have been generous with all the time and hard work that has gone into their study notes, sharing that with the next generation of students to make that year just that tiny bit easier.

Check out the database, it's always growing!

This isn't really much of an update but wasn't too sure where else to post it haha.

This evening, we'll be launching our Battle of the VCE Subjects on Facebook. Basically, VCE subjects will go head-to-head - you can vote by commenting on the relevant Facebook posts - until we have the ultimate VCE subject.

Launching tonight, and will also put up the first round of matches:
* Biology v. Visual Communication Design
* Legal Studies v. Geography
* Drama v. Texts & Traditions
* Maths Methods v. Business Management

It's just a bit of fun, and you can vote based on literally any criteria you like. Would love if you could all get involved and get taggin' your friends.

Just letting you know that next Monday at 10am, the forums will be down for like three minutes. Slydev is just testing some stuff behind the scenes, and to do that, needs the forums to be down temporarily.

10am on a Monday isn't a very popular time for the forums, but just letting you know in case you wonder what's going on for those 180 seconds or so haha.

Hey team! Just wanted to give you all a bit of an overview of some of the things going on atm. Feel free to ask any questions here!

1. Free lectures
Our free lectures are back for both VCE and HSC. As you may have seen, the VCE lectures have already been launched. They're running on 22-23 September, 30 September and 6 October. The HSC lectures will be in October, and will be launched soon - this will be the first series for the Class of 2019. Very exciting! 🎈

2. New titles
For HSC in particular, you might have noticed some brand new titles on our shop page! We now have Complete Course Notes for new syllabuses available for:
👉 Year 12 Ancient History
👉 Year 12 Biology
👉 Year 12 Chemistry
👉 Year 12 English Advanced
👉 Year 12 English Standard
👉 Year 12 Mathematics Standard 2
👉 Year 12 Modern History
👉 Year 12 Physics

3. Moderator applications
ICYMI: If you're keen to be a State Moderator, you should apply for a position! This is a really great opportunity to get more involved - and brilliant for résumés/LinkedIn. Applications close Sunday 7 October.

4. Brand new TuteSmart Centres
Huge news! We're soon opening two new TuteSmart Centres, in Camberwell and Moonee Ponds. In addition to our existing Melbourne CBD and Mulgrave Centres, we really hope we can now help a whole lot more students after school and on weekends.

Current TuteSmart students can use any of the four Centres for their upcoming TuteSmart mock exams, and we'll be opening up appointments for 2019 enrolments soon. Definitely recommend checking out more if you're interested!

5. Free HSC videos
Our free VCE video series has been super well-received, so we're doubling down and promoting a whole new series for HSC subjects. And here's the exciting thing: there'll be even more videos than the VCE series, and they'll cover more than just HSC content. I'm going up to Sydney this week for filming, so will be happy to provide updates (a bunch of familiar forum faces are involved!).

EDIT: Whatever breathing exercises Rui did have worked. Genuinely a great performance atm. Rui has 21 videos to get through, which I think is the third most of any tutor (after only Elyse and Jake).
