Title: ERTH10002: Understanding Planet earth @ Uni Melb
Post by: mburn on January 29, 2019, 12:37:54 pm
Hi all!

Am currently enrolling in subjects for the year ahead. For my fourth subject in sem 2 I am thinking of studying Understanding Planet Earth. However, I do not plan to do the recommended (but not compulsory) sem 1 subject The Global Environment.

To anyone who has done Understanding Planet Earth; did you study "The Global Environment" - was it necessary for ERTH10002? If you didn't, did you struggle?

Thanks very much! :)

I did Understanding Planet Earth last year without doing the 'recommended' sem 1 subject and had no trouble. Most people haven't done the recommended subject, and the lecturers don't assume any prior knowledge. Understanding Planet Earth is a really good subject, and the field trip was definitely a highlight of my first year. Have fun!
