There are so many factors at play it is really hard to tell!
I did the exam today too. What solutions did you get for the paper?

Sorry but both of those answers are wrong.

For question 2, by using a ruler to line up the bar between 3000 and 3500 on the histogram with the y axis, the ruler passes through a point between 35 and 40. Option C (37) is the only one that is within this interval. With 14, the actual value for day 3 is the 7 median smoothed value for day 4. This dot is above 140 but below 150, so C (145) is the most correct answer.

Yeah, I'm kicking myself as it was really easy. You just had to solve simultaneous equations with the transition matrix elements as the coefficients for each variable and sub in 635 for s. As it was a steady state matrix the values of the variables being multiplies would be the same as the answers. Hence it was quite simple.

Might have to agree to disagree!

For Q2 I agree that it rules across to 37 - but that is the percentage of babies between those weights - we want the number of babies! So we are looking for 37% of the 200 babies which is 74
For Q14 I believe the values we are median smoothing are 150, 160, 145, 182, 140, 160, 120 - giving 150 as the median

I did the matrix q a slightly different way but got the same value in the end. Just hadn't seen anything like it before!

Reading this thread is lowkey stressing me out so much especially with the release of the exam timetables today :'( :'(

When should we expect VCAA to publish the NHT exams?

They usually release them pretty quick, I reckon it'd be around 1-2 months.
