I made a silly mistake and got 39/40 on exam 1. If I get 60/60 in exam 2 can I still get a 50 or is all hope lost?

From what I’ve seen there have some a FEW cases where someone has dropped one mark and still gotten a 50, although it is very rare. Don’t lose all hope, good luck tomorrow :).

would depend on how the whole standardisation process goes (e.g. difficulty of exam/overall performance on the exam) but I think 60/60 should yield a 50 and then for every extra mark loss you should lose 1 study score.

Any study score > 49.5 will be written as 50.

I’ve heard of students getting 40/40 exam 1 and 59/60 exam 2 getting 50 but never the other way around. Remember each mark on exam 1 is worth more than each mark on exam 2
