bachelor of commerce and engineering of bachelor of commerce

hi guys, i am applying for a course transfer from bach of buis at monash to either bachelor of commerce and engineering of bachelor of commerce. i want to preferably enrol into the double degree, however ive heard that if i dont like engineering i cant just drop the subject qnd just do commerce but you had have to transfer. this is the only thing putting me off form the double degree of engineering and commerce as i dont know if i will be able to get a good WAM in order to transfer again.
however, i called moansh connect and asked if i could do a double major in bcom for civil engineering, but they said they have no clue, so now i'm stuck between what i should be choosing.
if anyone has any suggestions that could help me get out of this sticky situation that would be great.
