Mr Masterman made lists of these most common words (or in fact 3 lists..), which I collated into this list.
Did you learn all the words from the Masterman's list DW? I heard from another source that the list is sometimes learnt entirely and thoroughly during year 11 (which intimidates me a little).
P.S. Well done on your results  :D

At my school, we had vocab tests based on Masterman's first list every couple of weeks. I highly doubt that anyone would have been able to remember all of the vocab after a few days had passed.

Yeah I'm DW. let's be honest how many other people in the state would have got in the paper for Latin and French this year.
actually I just looked it up and we were two - the other guy got 50 for French and a casual 48 for Latin (to go alongside 50s for English and Politics, just casually. so basically he topped the cohort in 4 subjects, wowee)

I heard from another source that the list is sometimes learnt entirely and thoroughly during year 11
Yeah well it is meant to be learnt 'entirely and thoroughly', not sure if that always happens though.
Realistically though it is in your best interests to know as many words from Masterman's lists as possible - especially from List 1

I recommend just reading through a summary of the Aeneid, even if it's just sparknotes.

Even though reading summaries is basically good enough, personally I think reading through the entire Aeneid does have its benefits.
