Hi, I need help in finding a tutor for primary and year 8 kids. Where do i start the search from? Tried the internet but not very useful. Any particular websites or sources will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

On ATARNotes, you might be able to find some here, although you’ll find that many are advertised for Years 11 and 12, as that’s our main audience. Still worth contacting to see if they might want to tutor younger years though!

You might also have some luck with local papers or asking your child(ren)’s teachers to see if they have a list of local tutors.

Tried contacting the school and apparently the teachers are not allowed to tutor. Will check the forum. Thanks for your suggestion.

No worries! :)

Just to clarify my previous post, the teachers at my old high school have a list of ex-students who became tutors after they graduated. I thought other schools might do something similar, such as have a notice board of potential tutors, use the school newsletter or have teachers to advertise their ex-students as possible tutors.

I also know that many people also go by word of mouth, so asking one of your children’s friends’ parents may also be useful.
