Lectures are running; tutes, problem-based, workshop, practical etc aren't running.

But make sure and check your LMS; I hear some subjects do have them running in the first week. Bio or chem, I can't remember.

Yeah, skip it, it's basically a free time slot :)

Does it say anywhere on the unimelb website? Chinese has a seminar. I'm not sure if that's on or not and there isn't a link to the LMS for it.

No; the intro classes during o-week would have given you that info, and it's different for each subject. The lecturer should have put the LMS up by now for your subject, but check back periodically tomorrow. When is the seminar?

There isn't an intro session for Chinese and the seminar is tomorrow at 1. So you're saying for all the subjects that don't have tutes running during the first week, they would've told you that during the intro session?

Yeah, and there would have been an announcement on the LMS. But that applies for pracs, tutes, problem-based and workshops. Since you have a seminar, which I assume is like a tute (?) then you may not have to attend. But don't quote me on that, turn up tomorrow just in case, or, if you have a Chinese lecture before 1pm it would be best to ask then.

But honestly, I've never heard of seminars.

On the LMS, it says Introductory Microeconomics is running though (the tute)
Can anyone confirm this?

I waited outside the room of my maths session for half an hour today and the tutor didn't show up. So apparently it's not on. But would it not be running for the entire week? It doesn't say on the LMS/anywhere and I really don't want to wait 2 hours for it tomorrow.
