I'm not talking about UoM, i'm talking about through GEMSAS - half of all applicants didn't receive an interview to any of their preferences.

Also, UoM now interview 150% of places not 125%

Anyway to chuck your essay in some turnitin-like program?

I don't plagiarise, just out of curiosity...

Lol, one time my friend was trying to figure out why her plagiarism count was so high for some random website and it turned out turn it in had picked up her student number and page numbers as curling scores.  And they were that similar it contributed something like 5% plagiarism.  Good times.
Love turn it in.

Best part of turnitin is that the later your submission is, the higher the plagiarism count is because it picks up all the student papers submitted before you on the same assignment :P

Yup Chem 2!

@Mao - It's basically just regarding a few questions calculating the equilibrium constant using the Nernst equation.  When I constructed a balanced equation I had 10 mol of electrons being transferred and as a result I got like, some number x 10^400 or something to this extent as K and I have never seen a K that big SO I REFUSE TO BELIEVE IT IS POSSIBLE.  Is it even possible?  Am I doing something wrong?  It doesn't help that the answers are not up yet so I cannot check them myself.

I'm going to need more details on the actual question, but it sounds like you understand the mathematics of it quite well, you have just discovered an inconsistency or have discovered ambiguous theories aren't always applicable. Post the actual question up in a different thread if you want, I'd be happy to have a look at it.

I have never seen a K that is 10^400, though I don't think it is impossible. I have seen cases where K~10^60.

I will PM you tomorrow!  :) Thanks.  It's also quite likely I did something wrong though.

Thanks for saying you think I understood the mathematics.  Nobody has ever complimented my mathematical ability in my life.  My Year 11 Methods teacher started my report comment with 'Unfortunately...'.

Okay, so I stupidly forgot to foonote one quote for a short history essay, despite using over 20 footnotes throughout the entire piece. Will this negatively impact upon my mark? It is in quotation marks, but the citation just isn't there.

Not unless your tutor is a bit of a jerk (this is why you should use endnote btw)
