Are people registering for early results?  Why/ why not?

(I haven't decided if I will or not yet)
I have not registered for early results yet but will do it soon. No real reasoning - just have done it for every semester so far. Anyway, I think even if you don't register for early results (the text) most semesters they still email people the results even if they haven't registered for the text and at times this email is before the texts.

I have and always do. Don't really see the point of waiting an extra day when I can get my results the day before! Lets me know my scores then I can just be done with it and move on to next year

Lmao I hate seeing my results, so I delay it as much as I can- for the fear of doing worse than I think I did 😅

Schroedinger's Results: until you see them, you have both failed your units, and have a triple digit score

I think I prefer the new Moodle layout.

Being able to hide units is nice

Take a look at your emails everyone! The main changes are:

* Semester 1 begins on the 9th of March (as opposed to the 2nd of March). This does not apply to some courses (check fact sheet).
* Week 1 will not have any on-campus (face-to-face) scheduled classes. Instead, online work will be provided and live streaming for lectures where possible.
* Allocate+ adjustment with the new timetable will be open 10AM on the 21st of February.
* SWOTVAC has been reduced to 3 days (8-10th of June).
* Exam period is reduced by 3 days and starts on the 11th of June - right after the reduced SWOTVAC period.

The full fact sheet is here.

Hi www, does the new date of when semester 1 begins also applies for students starting university this year as well?

I believe it applies to everyone with a few courses being exceptions (you should be able to find the list of exceptions on the Monash website).

Also O-week will be postponed to later in the semester. Usually, it is the week before week 1.

Most of the exceptions are for masters of law degrees, Gippsland Med, and B.Education and some smaller cohorts such as mine (pharmsci honours) 😊

Yes, or at least,  postponed until who knows when.

As a society president this is really inconvenient. I'm especially glad now that we didn't sign up to the o week festival but this still mucks up planning & I imagine that for larger clubs and societies this is a huge deal.

Is anyone else able to see their timetable? when I go onto my Monash all of my classes have been allocated with my first preferences. I first noticed this before allocate + closed down.

Hi Guys,

Was there a specific deadline as to when we were made to put our preferences in for the timetable? Because now when I go on Allocate+, it does not allow me to access it and I haven't put my preferences in yet.

Also, will I be able to make changes to the units I want to do. I was thinking of changing one of my electives.

PS: I am a first year student this year.

Thanks. All replies will be much appreciated,
