OMG GOT A 90.20, SO ECSTATIC. I WAS Honestly expecting a 70 at max and i just honestly exceeded my expectations WTFFFFF. AND I GOT A RAW 36 FOR ENGLISH, LIKE I LEGIT DIDNT EVEN READ THE SECTION B QUESTION PROPERLY AND I ALSO DID STUFF UP MY SECTION C and section A, didnt know english examiners were so generous to even bad students like me. morever, since i went to a low performing shool i feel very proud of myself and i got a's for all my 3 subjects and a b plus for legal (which i was expecting and am happy with since the exam was really hard), but honestly overall i am so happy. I also only needed a 70.00 for my course which i will get in happily. I am so happy and proud of myself since i am ppractically best in like 10% of the state and like going into those exams, i was so stressed, and also on those exams, i felt like i didnt do well at all coz my handwriting was really bad and my answers were so crap and like kind of guessed everything lol but i really surpassed my expectations. SO HERE MY OVERALL MESSAGE here is that you have the potential to do well and get a 90 above atar if you put in the hard work and have perseverance throughout the year even if u have low scaling subjects (like i did) and go to a low performing school with shitty teachers.
I would say the overall key to a Good atar is to work SMART, not HARD, be consistent throughout the year and to strive to do as well as you possibly can on the exams and off course, to do TRILLIONS OF PRACTICE SACS/EXAMS (not only before exam period, but actually throughout the year). Another tip is to not overthink and to take each day as it comes, i personally didnt treat year 12 like year 12, but like any other academic year (like year 11 or 10), which helps in reducing stress
And also only choose the subjects ur interested in, not just those that are high scaling but u dont really enjoy:)

Did half good half bad, especially disappointed about Chemistry because I know I could've done really well, had I not screwed over my timing and left multiple choice to the last few minutes and lost a whole bunch of easy marks :(

Predictions vs (Aims)
English: 38 (42)
Methods: 24 (25)
Chemistry: 37 (42)
Psychology: 33 (35)

ATAR: 96.7 (97.5)

Hopefully things turn out alright, crossing fingers! But either way, there's still plenty of other paths if things don't go accordingly.

So I’m mostly mixed with how things went.

English: 43
Super SUPER stoked about this, I didn’t dare think I was realistically going to get above 40, so the fact that English was the subject that I got 40+ in this year made me really happy. English was my weak point at the start of the year, and I don’t think I’ve studied harder and dedicated time for a subject in my life (even more than Bio).

Methods: 24
Exactly what I predicted lmao but I still wish I could’ve at least gotten 25 (oof).

Chemistry: 33
I’m still really sad about this because I genuinely thought I was going to get above 40, but my exam screwed me over I guess :(

Psychology: 33
Considering that I basically did no study for this subject and did exam revision for this by going on VCE Discuss Space, I guess I’m pretty happy with this? Exactly what I predicted, although I didn’t think I would actually get it.

ATAR: 96.5
Pretty happy with this actually! Everyone thought I was going to get 94 or 95, and my prediction was just a really rough estimate, so the fact that I got in the 96 range is what I expected :) I still need to do a few adjustments to my preferences (thanks Methods) but overall things are looking good!

2019: English [43] Chemistry, Psych, Methods
ATAR: 96.5

I cant find the post I originally made about my predictions, but I remember it was 35 for psych and 40 for food studies.

Actual scores
psych - 50
food - 42

I remember crying day after day about the horrific psych exam. Looks like I didn’t do so bad after all :D
Oh deary me, am I bad at predictions!

[Predictions]
English: 30 ~
Biology: 35 ~
Specialist: 35 ~
Japanese SL: 35 ~
Extension study increment (UMEP Chem): +4.0/+4.5

ATAR: 96.40 - 96.55 ~

[Actual Results]
2018:
Chemistry: 45 (A+ A+ A+)
Methods: 43 (A+ A+ A)
2019:
English: 35 (A A B+)
Biology: 35 (A B+ B+)
Specialist: 41 (A+ A A+)
Japanese SL: 32 (C+ B+ A+)
UMEP Chemistry: +4.0

ATAR: 98.50

First of all... REALLY disappointed with my Japanese... I had mid 90s for my SACs.  :'( :'( Why is it so lowwww ?? In a similar manner, I kind of expected Spesh to be higher, since I also had mid 90s for those SACs as well. Oh well! But, on a lighter note, I'm ecstatic about English, considering I expected to get lower ! After all, I didn't finish any of my essays in the exam :o Bio is to be expected, since I didn't do any practice exams for it, regrettably.
Funny story, I was about to be whipped by my dad for getting "such a low ATAR", but then I just blamed English, and nearly all was good.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with my results! It's just Japanese that soured my mood a bit, but one bad SS shouldn't affect my whole opinion on my results anyhow.
2018: Chemistry [45], Maths Methods [43]
2019: Biology [35], English [35], Japanese [32] :(, Specialist Maths [41], UMEP Chemistry [H2A], UCAT [83 percentile]
ATAR: 98.50

Hoping for a 35+ in Business Management!
I completely flunked out on the exam so I don't expect anything above a 40 rip.

Ended up with a 37 in Business Management - not too bad.
I really didn't do well on the exam so I'm actually kinda happy with the result.
Now to look forward to next year!
