Who else in the AN fam follows the Hyundai A-league? I'm a Melbourne Victory fan, and I'm loving the massive comeback they've made this year! Can't wait for the finals this year, and hopefully they can keep going. Love my soccer  8)

Usually just use the football thread to talk about A-League tbh!

Also a Victory fan here :) Honestly think our season has been pretty bang-average so far and results have definitely been below what we can and should achieve. Still, hoping that we keep on picking up our results and finish strong.

I just refuse to use a "football" thread to talk about soccer on principle. We're in Australia, football has another meaning here, so we use a different name for football, and call it soccer.

Well, it's a shame that Football Federation Australia disagree with you ;)
I call it football, because that's what it is. Also, the thread is called the Football (Association) thread so we can differentiate between that and AFL :) Football is the world game.

I used to be a huge victory fan and be a part of the northern terrace chanting at all the games HAHAHAHA the super active supporter section doesn't attend anymore because of disputes with the FDA but  other big fans still turn up to the games and sing the songs and bring the drums out so it's alright. I really like victory but haven't been to excited with the squad this year. Not sure what it is but Berisha and barbarousses is getting old (berisha is getting especially old LOL) and Leroy George can be frustrating to watch when he makes a great run and fucks up the pass/shot. I think the squad needs revitalisation for sure but it's still my team so I will still support them and attend games when I can. But it's definitely not the same today as it was when I was 15 going to games having people lighting flares and singing and having Archie Thompson score a hatrick

Big win for Victory and we are THIRD. Who said Berisha and Barbarousses are getting old? Hattrick between the two of them, as well as an assist.

Still can't believe that despite being last WP has won three games, all of them against teams in the top 4 at the time, Sydney, Newcastle and MV!!???? Crazy! Loved their win against Newcastle though, pretty amazing!
