Asian Cup: Australia or Japan? Australia for me, we've only conceded 1 goal in the tournament thus far.

Australia for me too (not just out of patriotism)! Especially after dumping Uzbekistan 6-0!

(btw, didn't we beat Japan in the 06 world cup or something?)

To be honest, '06 world cup results are not a good indicator, more than 7 players from each team have changed. Australia are good  but this is a cup final, could go either way.

Go Australia!!!

Yeah '06 was a while ago. (Damn we're getting old :P) We're a good chance if our defence plays another solid game.

Want Australia to win but I've always thought Japan has an edge over us. Based on form I'd be thinking us.

Where you think Robbie Kruse will be off to ben_ess12?

He's too good for the A-League and I think he knows it...

Unfortunately I tend to agree he will go :( I love him at victory and the forward line with a fit allsop, Thompson, kruse and Hernandez would be beautiful.

But I also want to see him develop into a better footballer and he will become a striker for the future for socceroos :)
In terms of where he goes too many option :p mitchy langarak went to German league, FRED and and Alsop both went to America so I wouldn't have a clue where kruse will head off too...hopefully england/Spain/Italy so he can play with and against some bigger clubs...

I don't see him going to America, I think it's more likely he'll go to a Dutch/German club, if he goes to England/Spain/Italy I can't see him playing in the first league, not with much playing time anyway.

BTW, never ever believe something that TribalFootball reports.

To be honest with you, I'd say the 'A-League' is bad for youth player development, the NSL produced far more quality players. So yes, it is good that we are finally starting to produce some quality youth players in the A-League.

very true, the 'youth league' isnt very good from what i have seen, and there are so many different football academies running in different regions, its hard to no what is good and isnt

Defense was solid all night. One lapse and BAM game over.
